Sankalpa

The word Sankalpa is derived from two words ‘Sat’ which means good and ‘Kalpana’ which means imagination or intention. Taking a Sankalpa is a simple process of recognizing our intentions and surrendering them to the divine.

During Homas, the mind is brought from the vastness of time and space into the present moment. And in this state of mind we identify our intention and surrender it to the divine. The mantras chanted during the homa have an impact on the consciousness and help the sankalpa manifest.
