Ever wondered why we struggle so much on the path of love,
when deep inside we know that love is the very essence of our existence…
All of us, have found ourselves grappling with questions about the nature of love, at some point in life or the other…
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be dwelling on the nature of love by immersing us in the beautiful Sutras composed by the Sage Narada. The Narada Bhakti Sutras are aphorisms on love- the core of our very existence and have been meditated upon around the world for ages. Now, there is an opportunity for us to explore the subtle intricacies of love to arrive at its simplicity, effortlessly.
What are the Narada Bhakti Sutras?
Life springs from love – the origin is love and life seeks love. The goal of life is also love, and in between, life is sustained by love. There is not a single creature or living entity on this planet that has not known love or is devoid of love. Since time immemorial, Sage Narada and bhakti (devotion) have been synonymous.
The Narada Bhakti Sutras consist of 84 sutras (aphorisms) of love. The very word ‘Narada’ means the spoke that joins the circumference with the center in Sanskrit. Thus, the sutras are lessons in being centered as a means of achieving the highest form of love – divine love.
The Bhakti Sutras of Sage Narada are considered to be the best guide on the path of devotion, and stand out for their clarity, simplicity, and internal coherence.
Over 25 years after his first commentary on the Bhakti Sutras of Narada, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be giving a live discourse on these timeless sutras.
Gurudev’s trademark simplicity yet profound articulation, peppered with relatable examples from our lives as well as age-old tales, not only kindle the intellect but awaken something deep within which helps integrate the timeless wisdom into our daily lives.
